Agent Earns New Designation

By December 21, 2023December 22nd, 2023Insurance

Jeff Harrison, vice president of Harris Insurance, recently earned the ARM designation.  The Associate in Risk Management (ARM) is a nationally recognized program developed by the Insurance Institutes of America for dedicated risk management professionals.  The ARM is awarded to an individual who completes the program’s course of study in the science of risk management.

The areas of concentration consists of three parts: risk management, risk assessment, and risk treatment.  Each course builds upon the prior and the applicant must pass a comprehensive credentialing exam following each class.  An ethics course must also be completed.  An Associate in Risk Management is certified to be competent in risk assessment, risk control, and risk financing. The ARM is considered one of the top five insurance designations.

Jeff started the ARM program in January of this year and completed it in October.  This is his fourth designation.  (CIC, CISR, and CPIA.)  He is the first agent at Harris Insurance to earn the ARM.

Harris Insurance has for decades, encouraged it’s agents to seek out and participate in professional designations that are above and beyond the basic agent’s license.  Every employee of our agency has earned, and holds, multiple designations and certifications from advanced programs and participates in additional continuing education classes every year to keep their enhanced credentials updated.  We are extremely proud of our agency culture that actively encourages a high level of professional development of our entire staff and believe that it is indicative of the high standards of service to which we aspire.

Congratulations Jeff!
