Roy Shackleford started as a part-time file clerk with Harris Insurance in 1996 by participating in a high school co-op student program. After graduating from college (A.A.S.), he was promoted to a full-time customer service representative. (CSR) He became licensed in property and casualty in 2006 and later that year, earned his Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation.  He completed his Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA) designation in 2013 and works in both personal lines and commercial lines accounts for the agency.

He served for years on the board of directors for the Wallins Community Center. He is often found daydreaming of the beach, a cruise, a flight, a train ride, a camel caravan, safari, space exploration, etc.  He has never met a vacation he doesn’t like and is often teased by coworkers and clients about his affinity for traveling.
