Roy Shackleford started as a part-time file clerk with Harris Insurance in 1996 by participating in a high school co-op student program. After graduating from college (A.A.S.), Roy was promoted to a full-time customer service representative. (CSR) He became licensed in property and casualty in 2006 and later that year, earned his Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation.  He completed his Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA) designation in 2013.

Roy works with both personal lines and commercial lines but can often be found daydreaming of the beach, a cruise, a flight, a train ride, a camel caravan, safari, etc.  He has never met a vacation he doesn’t like and is often teased by coworkers and clients about his affinity for traveling.
